Welcome to Lamb Cottage. It's a real place, and this is where I live with my dear husband. We even have lambs. This is a personal blog, especially concerning life as an American expat in Scotland, life as an over-50, life with lambs, and life as an Orthodox Christian. You're most welcome to come and visit awhile. I hope we can be friends!

The Start of Something...

There have been a few things weighing heavy on my mind... growing heavier daily.  This video speaks about one of them.  I plan to share more with you in the coming days:

Welcomed Home

We're back! Oh my goodness. What a lot I could write about. I need to sort things through in my head. Here is a wee collage, though, of our trip. We were in Rhinelander, Wisconsin... and we were there over the 4th of July! This was a major bit of excitement for me, being home after seven years away, and being there on the 4th. In this collage, you can see the Hodag, trains at a museum, part of the parade for the 4th, camping in the backyard along the river, my dear friend of 34 years (!), a trip to the logging museum, a teepee, and my Dear Husband kayaking along the Pelican River.

First, I want to say what a HUGE blessing it was to see my dear, dear friend of 34 years. We had not seen each other for 15 years, although we keep in touch by letter, email, and phone, and always have. She and I were college roommates -- me from Florida and she from Wisconsin! We were prepared to dislike each other, and we hit it off immediately! She and her husband had never met my husband (who obviously had never met them, but certainly knew all about them). It was SO good to spend time together.

I know my Dear Husband was worried I'd not want to leave once I got back in America after seven years. And I confess, I cried when the plane landed in Chicago! It was good to be home (America) -- and it's good to be HOME (Scotland). I have lots to say on that. Eventually.

A great big HUGE thank you to Pam and Randy. God bless you both!
